Calgary Farmer's Market aims to support the city's growers and small businesses, by providing a space where they can sell locally grown products. CF Chinook Centre

The largest shopping mall in Calgary, the CF Chinook Centre mostly features high-end boutiques like Louis Vuitton, Tiffany's and Saks Fifth Avenue, but more affordable deals are offered by the local Old Navy and H&M stores. CORE Shopping Centre

Natural light shines on The Core's interiors thanks to the suspended glass skylight, which also allows the mall to house its own botanical garden in the fourth floor. CrossIron Mills

The CrossIron Mills shopping center was built also as an homage to Alberta itself: it is divided into six "neighborhoods" with designs and architecture themed around the province's landmarks and well-known spots.
