Arrival to Copenhagen airport and private transfer to the hotel with English speaking assistant. The rest of the day at your leisure.

Explore Copenhagen

After breakfast, depart by private vehicle with your local guide for a 3-hour city sightseeing tour. This tour will be the perfect introduction to "Wonderful Copenhagen". Start with a drive towards the City Hall Square where the famous pedestrian street "Stroeget" begins. Pass the 19th century Tivoli Gardens, New Carlsberg Glyptotheque, and National Museum. You will see the Old Stock Exchange and the Naval Church before driving past the Kings New Square, the home of the Royal Danish Theatre with the world famous ballet, then through the old canal area, Nyhavn, with its picturesque houses and vessels. Continue on to see the impressive Gefion Fountain and make a photo stop at the royal residence, Amalienborg Palace. Finally, stop by the landmark of Copenhagen, the statue of the Little Mermaid, known from Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tale. During the tour you will also visit Christiansborg Palace, which houses the Danish Parliament, and Rosenborg Castle, which houses the Crown Jewels. The tour will end at the hotel. The afternoon and evening are at your leisure. (B)

Copenhagen

After breakfast, depart on a private first class vehicle with your local guide for a Copenhagen city tour. This excursion will show you the finest of the Danish countryside and history. Drive through the beautiful forests north of Copenhagen to Hilleroed to visit the splendid Frederiksborg Castle, built in Renaissance style by King Christian IV in 1625. Today the castle houses a splendid collection of antiques, art, and other treasures, as well as an impressive chapel used for royal marriages. Then proceed to Fredensborg, the royal summer residence, for a photo stop. Built after the 18th-century Italian fashion, this royal home is superbly situated amidst a magnificent park. We will break for lunch (not included) before visiting Kronborg Castle, the fabulous backdrop to Shakespeare's play "Hamlet" and recently listed on the UNESCO World Heritage list. The castle was erected between 1574 and 1585 and offers a breathtaking view of the Sound, the stretch of water lying between Denmark and Sweden. Take a stroll through the courtyard to enjoy the impressive architecture. Return to Copenhagen along the coastal road, also known as the "Danish Riviera", where you will delight in the stylish houses and mansions that line its course. The return trip back and end of visit. Copenhagen - Stockholm

After breakfast, meet with a local guide and depart by private coach for a 3-hour city sightseeing excursion. The city of Stockholm is built on 14 islands and connected by 57 bridges, and embraces the balance between the unique character of its 13th century Old Town and modern high-tech architecture. The capital is a big city with a small-town personality, proudly called “Beauty on Water”. This sightseeing tour will make for a memorable morning activity as you take a walk in the Old Town and visit the blue and gold halls of City Hall, one of the city’s best-known symbols where the Nobel festivities take place each year. Go back 750 years in time and drink in the medieval atmosphere of the Old Town "Gamla Stan" as you wander through its narrow streets. You will see the 700-year-old cathedral of Stockholm, the seat of the archbishop, during your stroll. You will also get a chance to visit Stortorget, where the Stockholm Bloodbath took place. The tour ends at the hotel. The afternoon is at your leisure. (B)
