Discover Hveragerdi's Wonders

Located in the southwest of Iceland, Hveragerdi has mostly been nicknamed “the Hot Spring Town” or “Earthquake Town” due to active geothermal and geological forces in the area. One of the ideal spots to stop on a Ring Road discovery, Hveragerdi is surrounded by botanical gardens, hiking trails, and camping grounds.  Hveragerdi is also known as “flower village” as the town has the highest concentration of greenhouses in Iceland. The residents have been harnessing geothermal energy since the 1920s. Naturally, the Hveragerdi Geothermal Park is the most precious gem as the hot springs literally located in people’s backyards!
