Discover Patreksfjordur's Wonders

Patreksfjordur is an Icelandic village located in the Westfjords. Its name means “the fjord of St. Patrick”, named after Iceland’s conversion to Christianity. Even with very few inhabitants- 600 people, it is the biggest town in the Southern part of Westfjords. This picturesque village is mentioned in the popular book “The Book of Settlements”. Even though this place is ancient, it did not settle into a village until the beginning of the 20th century. In the vicinity of this village, you will find fishing grounds. The fishing farms were developed into a trading point when travellers and residents became interested in fish products.
