Day
1
Alta-Arrival
Superior Tourist Class: Scandic Alta or similar accommodations
Arrival at Alta Airport, where you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel. Spend the rest of the day leisure. Explore the small city of Alta or visit the famous Cathedral of the Northern Lights. If you feel a bit more adventurous, we recommend a hike up to Mount Kumso where you can enjoy a stunning 360° view over the city and its fjords.

2
Dog Sledding- Northern Lights
Superior Tourist Class: Scandic Alta or similar accommodations
Breakfast at the hotel. Today a true Norwegian experience awaits, as you join an excited team of Alaskan huskies. You will be the musher during this excursion. End this adventure with a bonfire, hot drinks and stories about dog sled races around the world. In the evening your next adventure starts as you hunt for the Northern lights. The so called blue season provides ideal conditions for a colourful light-up night sky. Local and experienced guides will share their knowledge with a short introduction to this phenomenon, they will also share some folkloristic tales. Hot beverages and homemade cakes are served. Afterwards return to Alta city. (B)

3
Snow Shoeing, Ice Fishing and an Igloo Hotel
Superior Tourist Class: Sorrisniva Igloo Hotel or similar accommodations
Breakfast at the hotel. A local guide will pick you up and drive you to the base camp where you get equipped and ready to go. On snowshoes you walk through the wintery pine forests ending up at a frozen lake. Drill your own whole through the ice and try to catch your own Arctic char for lunch. Afterwards head to a traditional Lavvu tent where your lunch is grilled over an open fire. A husky will accompany the group and help transport the gear. Warm clothing and meals are included during the excursion. In the afternoon, transfer to your next hotel, however this is no ordinary hotel, but rather the world’s northernmost igloo hotel. Sorrisniva Igloo hotel is made purely of ice and snow, a definite wow experience. (B)

4
Snowmobiling
Superior Tourist Class: Scandic Alta or similar accommodations
Breakfast at the hotel, and get ready for an adrenalin rush, by snowmobile. You will drive far into the highlands. See endless plains covered in snow, bright white valleys and majestic mountains. Lunch will be served outdoors, before heading back to the city. (B)

Alta- Return
Breakfast at the hotel. If you have some time to spare, we highly recommend a visit to the Alta museum. The museum boasts Northern Europe’s largest and richest rock carving sites. Take a walk along the pathways arranged around the UNESCO’s world heritage rock cravings which show the life of fisherman and hunters up to 6200 year ago. You will be transported from the Hotel back to the airport according to your flight schedule. (B)
