Itinerary

Day

1

USA – Athens

Relax, rest your eyes, and prepare for your Grecian adventure during your overnight flight to Athens.

Day

2

Athens – Arrival

First Class: Polis Grand Hotel or similar accommodations

Upon arrival in Athens, make your own way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore this historical city. With layers upon layers of history, a modern culture with roots steeped in ancient tradition, and the beautiful beaches that it is known for, you will never have a boring moment. If you need a break from the sunshine and heat, we recommend a visit to one of Athens' many museums, including but not limited to the Acropolis Museum, the Byzantine & Christian Museum, the Benaki Museum of Greek Culture, the National Archaeological Museum, and the Industrial Gas Museum.

Day

3

Athens Hop On-Hop Off tour

First Class: Polis Grand Hotel or similar accommodations

Use your 24-hour Hop On/Hop Off ticket today to discover Athens best sights and attractions. Staples include the Acropolis, Parthenon, Ancient Agora, Temple of Olympian Zeus, Kerameikos, Odeon of Herodes Atticus, and Hadrian's Arch, but for a relaxing respite, take a few moments to visit lesser-known gems like the National Garden and Stavros Niarchos Park! And don't forget to indulge in the mecca of delicious cuisine at your fingertips; you may want to take a culinary walking tour of the city, or perhaps you'd prefer a quiet meal in an authentic setting like the Diporto Agoras. With no printed menu or even signage (look for two sets of doors leading to a cellar), this charming taverna is truly an Athens hidden treasure. (B)

Day

4

Athens – Paros

First Class: Zefi Hotel and Suites or similar accommodations

After breakfast, make your own way to the port of Piraeus to board your ferry to Paros. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. A hilly and fertile island, Paros has been called home by many civilizations, including the Cretans, Minoans, Ionians, Arcadians, Macedonians, Romans, and Byzantines. Its claim to fame is that both the Venus de Milo  and Napoleon's tomb were carved from Parian marble! However, there is much, much more to discover here. The footprints of history have left behind gorgeous museums, ancient ruins, and sandy golden beaches. With relatively few crowds and a plethora of both adventurous and relaxing activities, Paros will be your remote island paradise.  (B)

Day

5

Paros

First Class: Zefi Hotel and Suites or similar accommodations

Enjoy a full day at leisure. Visit Naoussa, a picturesque fishing village with narrow alleyways. It's an excellent spot for beaches, restaurants and cafes, and boutique shopping. Explore the pint-sized town of Parikia, the capital and main port of the island - small in size, but enormous in spirit! Get lost in its labyrinthine Old Town as you explore the cafes, restaurants, and shops that line its streets. You may want to take a short walk over to the nearby town of Livadia, known for its extraordinary tranquillity and photogenic-ness. And, of course - as with anywhere in Paros - take full advantage of those picture-perfect beaches! (B)

Day

6

Paros

First Class: Zefi Hotel and Suites or similar accommodations

Enjoy the day at your leisure. We suggest that you hire a car and explore Paros on your own for a uniquely private adventure. The island has numerous beaches including the Golden Sand Beach, Pounda, Logaras, and Piso Livadi. Some beaches are more popular than others - but we'll leave those judgments up to you! You can even easily find your own private beach on the southeastern part of this island. Consider visiting Paros Park for even more beaches and walking trails, hidden caves, rock formations, ancient buildings, and more! For a respite from the sun, check out the award-winning Lefkes Ceramic Workshop, featuring a unique crackle style. (B)

Day

7

Paros – Athens

First Class: Polis Grand Hotel or similar accommodations

After breakfast, make your own way to the Paros port to take your return ferry to Athens. You also have the option to fly back to Athens at a small additional cost. In your remaining free time, feel free to wander Athens and explore the seat of democracy, shop for souvenirs, or finish your trip as the Greeks do: socialising with loved ones over fantastic food and an unhurried glass of ouzo!  (B)

Day

8

Athens - USA

After breakfast, bid farewell to beautiful Greece and make your own way to the airport to board your international flight to the USA. (B)
