Welcome to Lima! Upon arrival at Jorge Chavez International Airport, you will be met by your private driver and English-speaking assistant and driven approximately 30 minutes to the accommodation of your choice. The remainder of the day is at your leisure.

Nestled along the Pacific coast, Lima, the vibrant capital city of Peru, is a fascinating blend of history, culture, and culinary delights. Check out of your hotel and meet your private driver and English-speaking assistant for the approximate 30-minute transfer to the Jorge Chavez International Airport where you will check-in for your flight to Cusco. Upon arrival at Alejandro Velasco Astete International Airport, you will be met by your private driver and English-speaking assistant and driven approximately 1 and a half to 2 hours to your Sacred Valley hotel.

Sacred Valley - Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes

After checking out of your hotel, meet your private driver and English-speaking assistant for the approximate 30-minute to 1-hour transfer to the Ollantaytambo Railway Station. You will embark on a captivating journey through the mesmerizing landscapes of Peru aboard Inca Rail's 360 train. With its panoramic windows, this elegant train offers an unparalleled opportunity to soak in the breathtaking beauty of the Peruvian Andes, verdant valleys, and meandering rivers. Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, a small town situated at the base of Machu Picchu, you will be met by your English-speaking guide who will accompany you up the mountain via a shared transfer where you will enjoy a 3-hour tour of the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu. This awe-inspiring Inca citadel captivates travelers with its mystical aura, awe-inspiring architecture, intricately crafted stone structure and precision in engineering, not to mention the breathtaking panoramic views of lush green mountains and steep valleys. After your exploration of Machu Picchu, you will return to Aguas Calientes with your English-speaking guide via a shared transfer.

Aguas Calientes - Machu Picchu - Aguas Calientes - Cusco

Meet your English-speaking guide for a second visit to Machu Picchu; you will have the choice to explore the lower city (3-hours), hike Machu Picchu Mountain (3 to 4 hours), or hike Huayna Picchu (2 to 3 hours). Should you choose to do one of the hikes, a separate ticket is required (not included) and will need to be booked in advance as there is limited availability. Huayna Picchu offers a steep and challenging hike with narrow paths and sheer drops while Machu Picchu Mountain, on the other hand, provides a higher vantage point and a less steep hike compared to Huayna Picchu, however still challenging. After returning to Aguas Calientes, please make your own way to the Aguas Calientes Railway Station to board Inca Rail's 360 train back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival in Ollantaytambo, you will be met by your private driver and English-speaking assistant and driven approximately 1.5 to 2-hours into downtown Cusco.
