Corcovado & Tijuca Forest

After breakfast, depart your hotel in a 4 x 4 Jeep for an exciting tour passing by the famous Copacabana and Ipanema beaches and through the heart of the exuberant Tijuca Forest, the largest urban forest in the world. Your first stop will be at Vista Chinesa, a lookout that has a pagoda-like gazebo. Travel further up the road and enter the Tijuca Forest National Park. After driving through the forest for a while, the jeeps will stop at the entrance to one of the many trails. The trail is leveled, without obstacles and fascinating. No one will believe that they are in the middle of a "jungle" in Rio de Janeiro. Then you will be transferred to the Paineiras station where you will board a van to go up to the Statue of Chist on top of Corcovado Mountain. You will have some free time to enjoy the view and take pictures. Return to Paineiras in vans and embark on the jeeps to be transferred back to your hotel. The afternoon is at leisure. In the evening, consider joining an optional Rio by Night tour with dinner and samba show. (B)

City Tour and Sugar Loaf

Start your day with a panoramic tour of downtown Rio passing by the Sambodrome and stopping at the Metropolitan Cathedral. Continue to see Cinelandia Square with its historical buildings, the municipal theater, the national library and the National Museum of Fine Arts before reaching the neighborhood of Urca where one of the largest symbols of the city is located - the Sugar Loaf. You will travel all the way to the top in two steps by cable car. The first cable car will take you to Urca Hill at a height of 700 ft which already offers beautiful views of Guanabara Bay and its islands, the Rio-Niteroi Bridge and Corcovado Mountain. From here, a second cable car will take you up to the top. At 1,300 ft you will enjoy splendid views of Copacabana Beach, the Santa Cruz Fortress and several beaches of Niteroi. The afternoon is at leisure or consider joining an optional walking tour of Rio's historical center. (B)
