Welcome to San Jose ! Upon arrival at the San Jose International Airport, you will be met by your private driver and driven approximately 25-minutes into downtown San Jose.

This morning you will be transferred to Arenal. Alternatively, you may decide to arrange a rental car. We suggest you visit the local active volcano before lunch time. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon in the hot springs and mineral pools and stay overnight in Arenal.

You will have free day at leisure to explore the region. You can visit the hanging bridges where you will be able to walk right into the forest through beautiful trails, take the local Sky Tram which offers impressive views of the rainforest, the volcano, and the lake.

Enjoy your free day at leisure to keep exploring Arenal region. You may consider visiting the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge which is considered to be the richest in biological diversity found in Costa Rica. For those who love adventure, the Sarapiqui River rafting excursion would be another excellent option.

In the morning, you will be transferred to Puerto Viejo or your rented car for Puerto Viejo on the South Pacific Coast, where you will arrive about six hours later. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon.

Enjoy a day of relaxation using the many facilities of your hotel or consider joining an optional kayaking and snorkeling tour. The Gandoca Manzanillo Wildlife Refuge is a sanctuary for marine and wildlife. Swim among the corals and observe a wonderful array of tropical fish.

After breakfast you will be transferred to San Jose or drive your rental car. Your trip will take approximately four hours and you will have the afternoon at leisure.

In the morning, you will check out of your hotel and meet your private driver for the approximate 25-minute transfer to the San Jose International Airport where you will check-in for your onward flight.
