Venice – Arrival

Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore the "Floating City".

Explore Venice

This morning, join your small-group walking tour of Venice. First, delight in the palatial architecture of St. Mark’s Square, and enter the magnificent St. Mark’s Basilica to admire its famous mosaics. Then seek out the Floating City’s most sought after sights on foot, including iconic landmarks the Rialto Bridge and the House of Marco Polo. Get a taste of local life at the Rialto Fish Market and explore historic neighborhoods like Cannaregio. End the tour by soaking up the scenery on a memorable gondola ride. The afternoon is at leisure or consider joining a tour to Murano, Burano, and Torcello. (B)

Venice – Florence

After breakfast, make your own way to the train station to board your train to Florence. Upon arrival in Florence, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure in this Renaissance jewel. (B)

Explore Florence

Today, join a walking tour to explore the historic and architectural wonders of Florence. Stroll around the historic monuments of Piazza della Republica and Piazza della Signoria, cross the landmark Ponte Vecchio bridge, then admire the opulent Pitti Palace and the legendary Duomo. After browsing the designer boutiques of Via Tornabuoni and the artist’s workshops of lively Oltrarno, enjoy skip-the-line entrance to the Accademia museum to view Michelangelo's world-famous David sculpture. The afternoon is at leisure or consider joining an optional tour of the Uffizi Gallery. (B)

Florence – Rome

After breakfast, make your own way to the train station to board your train to Rome. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to enjoy the “Eternal City”. (B)

Explore Rome

This morning, enjoy a small group walking tour of Ancient Rome. Take advantage of the skip the line entrance ticket to the Colosseum, one of Ancient Rome's most vital social centers. Once inside, an expert guide will talk you through the bloody past of the amphitheater as you listen to tales of gladiators, mock sea-battles and executions. Proceed to the Palatine Hill, the most famous of the Seven Hills of Rome. The place where the emperors used to live, you will enjoy a stunning view of the Roman Forum and Circus Maximus. Strolling among these ancient ruins, you will feel like you've been transported to another world. In the evening, consider joining a stroll around the Trastevere neighborhood followed by dinner. (B)

Rome – Naples – Pompeii – Sorrento

After breakfast, make your own way to the train station to board your train to Naples. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to Pompeii. After a 2-hour private tour of the site, proceed to Sorrento. (B)

Sorrento at Leisure

Enjoy a day at leisure. We suggest joining an optional cruise to Capri, one of the world’s most famous and beautiful islands, or consider taking an optional tour of the Amalfi Coast with picturesque fishing villages and spectacular scenery. (B)

Sorrento – Naples – Return

You will be transferred to the Naples airport for your return flight home. (B)
