Upon arrival in Zurich make your own way to your hotel. You will have the day at leisure to explore this scenic city.

Zurich - Basel (Switzerland) - Embark Cruise

Cruise Line: Amadeus Silver III or similar cruises

The morning is at leisure. In the afternoon, take train a from Zurich to Basel. Upon arrival board your ship (check-in starts at 3 pm), and enjoy a welcome cocktail and dinner (included). (B,D)

Speyer (Germany)

In the afternoon, the ship arrives in Speyer, one of the German Roman Empire's most important settlements, where you can take a guided walk (optional) which includes, among other sights, Speyer's famous cathedral. In the evening you will have the opportunity to visit the city's Christmas Market (included). The ship casts off again in the late evening. (B,L,D)

The ship arrives in Cologne in the afternoon. You can join a guided walk (optional) of the city, which was founded by the Romans and has been an important trading center for many hundreds of years. It is dominated by its vast Gothic cathedral, founded in 1248 as a pilgrimage church, and now houses the relics of the three holy kings. (B,L,D)

Early in the morning the ship leaves Cologne. Spend Christmas Day on board the ship and sail through the romantic Upper Middle Rhine Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, passing the legendary Lorelei Rock. In the evening there will be a special Captain's Gala Dinner, during which the ship's orchestra will again be providing entertainment (included). (B,L,D)

Kehl/Strasbourg (France)

After lunch, the vessel arrives in Strasbourg, the ancient capital of Alsace and one of Europe's most attractive cities. During a city tour (optional) you will see the outside of the European Parliament building and have a guided tour of the inside of the city's vast and famous cathedral. The ship casts off again around dinner time. (B,L,D)

Basel (Switzerland) - Disembark Cruise - Zurich

Disembark from your ship after breakfast. Make your own way to the train station and catch your train to Zurich. The afternoon is at leisure. (B)
