1

Cairo-Arrival

Deluxe Class and Luxury Cruise: Four Seasons Nile Plaza or similar accommodations

Upon arrival, meet your driver for a private transfer to your selected hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to explore the mystical capital of Egypt.

Pyramids, Sphinx, Sphinx, Memphis & Sakara

Deluxe Class and Luxury Cruise: Four Seasons Nile Plaza or similar accommodations

After breakfast, you’ll meet your driver and guide for an exploraon of the wonders of Cairo. Your day will begin with a visit to the Great Pyramids of Giza, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, and the Great Sphinx, with the head of a pharaoh and the body of a lion. Aferwards, you may also want to stop for a quick visit to the Papyrus Instute or a perfume shop. Then embark on an aernoon tour to explore ancient Egypt with a visit to the Open Air Museum at Memphis, which houses the famous statue of King Ramses II. We will also visit the Sakkara Step Pyramid, an ancient burial ground of Egypt’s capital, Memphis. In the evening, take an oponal excursion to the spectacular sound and light show that is held by the Sphinx. Then return to the hotel and overnight in Cairo. (B)

Cairo – Luxor – East Bank

Cruise Line: Oberoi Philae Cruiser or similar cruises

This morning you will meet your driver for a private transfer to the airport for a short flight to Luxor (not included) to board the Oberoi Philae Cruiser for a relaxing tour through history for the next five days. Embark the cruise ship and enjoy lunch on boar. Late in the aernoon, enjoy a small group tour of the Karnak and Luxor temples, organized specifically for cruise passengers. Drive back to the cruise ship for tea at the Club Lounge, followed by a welcome cocktail recepon and dinner. (B,L,D) On board: Oberoi Philae Cruiser.

Luxor – West Bank – Esna

Cruise Line: Oberoi Philae Cruiser or similar cruises

Breakfast on board will be followed by an early morning small group visit to the West Bank Valley of the Kings, King Tut’s Tomb, Ramses the 6th, Dier Elmadina, Habu and the Colossus of Memnon. You'll be back on board by noon for lunch as your cruise sets sail for Essna along the charming Nile. Your dinner this evening will be on board the ship, watching the riverbanks dri by. Essna – Edfu – Kom Ombo

Awake this morning as your ship sails quietly from Essna to Edfu down the peaceful Nile. In the aernoon, you’ll disembark for a small group excursion to the Temple of Edfu. Return to the ship for lunch as you connue your sailing to the twin temples of Kom Ombo. You’ll have a small group visit of these temples in the late aernoon before returning to the ship for dinner. Kom Ombo - Aswan

As you rest this morning, your ship will connue its lazy journey down the Nile toward the city of Aswan. Aer breakfast on board, join your small group visit to the High Dam, the largest dam in the Nile, and Philae Temple, built in honor of the goddess Isis. You’ll return to the ship in the aernoon to enjoy lunch on board. Late in the aernoon, visit the Nubian Museum to learn the culture and history of the Nubian people by motorboat. In the evening you’ll return to the ship for dinner and to connue your sailing. (B,L,D) On board: Oberoi Philae Cruiser.

Aswan - Cairo - Alexandria

Deluxe Class and Luxury Cruise: Four Seasons Alexandria at San Stefano or similar accommodations

Enjoy your last breakfast on board before disembarking your ship for a private transfer to Aswan airport. You’ll catch a short flight back to Cairo where you will meet your driver for a private transfer to your hotel in Alexandria. The rest of the day is at your leisure. Alternavely, you can also take an unforgeable tour through the village of Abu Simbel, part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site known as the “Nubian Monuments”! Aer an early breakfast and disembarkaon, transfer to Aswan airport for a flight to Abu Simbel. Upon your arrival, your guide will escort you through the great temples of Ramses II & his beloved queen, Nefertari. Transfer back to the airport by Egypt Air, then take buses to board the flight to Cairo via Aswan. Overnight in Alexandria. (B)

Alexandria sightseeing – Cairo

Breakfast at hotel, then check out and embark on a day tour of Alexandria’s greatest sights. We will visit Pompey’s Pillar, a massive ancient monolith that is the largest constructed outside of the former imperial capitals of Rome and Constannople. The nearby Kom el-Shoqafa Catacombs are one of the Seven Wonders of the Middle Ages and were discovered by chance at the onset of the 20th century. Also on the schedule is the Alexandrina Bibliotheca, or New Library of Alexandria. It is dedicated to recapturing the spirit of openness and scholarship of the original Bibliotheca Alexandrina and in addion to being a library, also houses 4 museums, 19 art galleries, a planetarium, and a manuscript restoraon laboratory. You will also see the Citadel of Qaitbay, a fortress that has been guarding the bay since the 15th century, and Al Montazah Gardens, a 150-hectare park surrounding the palace of Khedive Abbas that is brimming with stunning gardens, sandy beaches, and architecture worthy of Walt Disney himself! Return and overnight in Cairo. (B)

The Egyptian Museum - Khan El Khalili Bazaa

Breakfast at the hotel, then begin your tour to visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquties. The Museum’s collections now exceed 120,000 objects ranging from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period. It houses huge statues, jewels, Tunktankhamen treasures, royal mummies, a photography section, and a library, among others! Then, embark on an afternoon tour to visit the Citadel, the medieval fortress of Salah-El-Din, and the Great Mosque of Mohammed Ali. Lunch will be served in Naguib Mahfouz Café at Khan El Khalili. Spend some free me exploring the Khan El Khalili Bazaar, a popular tourist destination where you can bargain for souvenirs. Tonight you have the option to board the luxurious Nile Maxim for a dinner cruise. Glimpse Cairo at night as you cruise the Nile and enjoy onboard oriental and folkloric shows. (B, L)
