What is the difference between Tours & Cruises, City Packages, Vacation Packages and Sightseeing Tours?

Escorted tours: These tours have fixed departure dates and you are met on arrival to join a group of fellow travelers with the same itinerary and your English-speaking tour guide. The group stays in the same accommodations, uses the same transportation and often dine together. This is the worry-free way to go, especially if you are visiting a new environment for the first time.
Vacation Packages -- Packaged Tours: These services are independent, flexible programs to popular areas such as capital cities, unique landmark areas and island destinations. They can be combined with other packages or escorted tours.

Vacation Packages -- City Stays: These services are independent, short city stays that can be combined with other packages and/or escorted tours.

Reservations should be completed no later than 45 days prior to departure. For summer and other high season travel times, 90 days prior provides added security. For assistance with reservations, please contact your travel agent or call us directly at 1 (800) 576-1784.

Before a booking is made, you will receive a quote with a suggested itinerary for the requested services. There is no deposit required until the services are quoted exactly the way you prefer. In the event that a quoted service is not available at the actual time of booking, we will notify you of the change and make every effort to substitute a similar or better product.

Checks, American Express, MasterCard, Visa and Paypal are all acceptable forms of payment.

Clients can expect to receive all necessary travel documents 14 days prior to departure. This will include an information booklet with the documents for each traveler.

Because it is often difficult to find roommates with the same interests and personal preferences Key Tours does not provide roommate matching but instead offers low-priced single supplements to accommodate the single traveler.

A representative will greet clients scheduled for transfers at the selected destination and will transport your party to the appropriate hotel or tour. For transfers from the airport, your representative will typically wait for you near the exit from the luggage area. You will see your representative holding a Key Tours sign or a sign with the traveler's name.

Travelers must secure and maintain a valid passport throughout the trip. For in depth information regarding a country's visa requirements, please contact the destination country's nearest consulate. For most of our destinations, when a visa is required, it can be easily obtained while clearing customs at the point of entry.

Key Tours recommends that all travelers buy comprehensive travel insurance whether it is purchased with your Key Tours package or through an outside company. For more information on our travel insurance and its coverages please view our Travel Insurance details page.

Our preferred air carriers often cooperate with frequent flyer programs or have their own mileage programs. Key Tours works with a variety of different airlines based on the destination and program itineraries and will do our best to accommodate preferred carriers although additional supplements may apply.
