Today, we suggest that you take an optional private tour of the local museums. Visit the Istanbul Archaeological Museum with its impressive Alexander the Great Sarcophagus, Museum of the Ancient Orient and the Tiled Kiosk of Sultan Mehmet with its fine ceramic collection. Opt to see the Underground Cistern with its Medusa heads and weeping columns or the Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts. Today finish any last minute shopping and visit the New City of Istanbul and Taksim Square. Here you will find many modern shops and interesting art galleries. Join the hussle and bussle of Istanbul, take a tram ride and mingle with the locals. (B)
