Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Lima departing at 11:55 pm for those passengers departing from New York. (Miami passengers have to arrive at the airport this evening but the flight departs after midnight at 01:00 am).

You will be met at the Lima airport and privately transferred to your hotel. We suggest you join an optional half-day guided tour of Lima to see the historical center, the Government Palace, the Archbishop's Palace, the City Hall and the old streets with colonial mansions and Moorish balconies. You will also visit a historic convent, an icon of colonial architecture. The tour travels all the way to the modern districts of San Isidro and Miraflores, where you’ll appreciate huacas, or sacred Inca structures.

You will be transferred back to the Lima Airport for your flight to Cusco (included only in the air & land package). Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon you may wish to join an optional tour of Cusco and visit the impressive colonial city built over the foundations of Incan palaces. See the San Blas Neighborhood and Twelve Angles Stone on Hatun Rumiyoq Street; the Korikancha, or Temple of the Sun, appreciating the fine Incan stone craft work; and the Cathedral, with its delicately carved wood and impressive altars. You will complete this tour with a visit to the Inca Museum. (B)

Today you will enjoy a day at leisure. Explore the city at your own pace or take an optional half or full day tour to the Sacred Valley of the Incas including the Pisac Market and Ollantaytambo. Discover the beauty of South American camelids, guanacos, llamas, vicuña and alpacas, and an exhibition of traditional Andean textile art. Continue to the town of Pisac, an hour’s drive from Cusco, and visit the colorful Pisac Market, where the local Indians meet to sell their merchandise as they have for centuries. Return to Cusco in the evening. (B)

Included in your program is a full day tour of Machu Picchu. Visit the ancient wonder of Machu Picchu, led by a knowledgeable local guide. Begin the day with a train ride to the city of Aguas Calientes, where you will join the bus to the Machu Picchu archeological site. After your guided exploration of this wondrous site you will have free time to relax. Next, you will descent to Aguas Calientes for lunch (excluded) before boarding the train for your return trip to the Cusco train station, where you will be met and privately transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a day at leisure and do some last minute shopping during this last day in Peru. (B)
