1
Lima – Arrival
Deluxe: The Westin Lima or similar accommodations
Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure.

Explore Lima

You will have the morning at leisure. In the afternoon, join your Lima city tour and visit colonial Lima around the main square where you can find the presidential palace, the cathedral, the archbishop's palace, and the metropolitan city hall. Continue to the Santo Domingo Church and Monastery, a XVII century jewel, located in the historic center and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Finally, you will visit the Larco Herrera Museum which houses a private collection of more than 45,000 artifacts spanning over a period of 5,000 years. Lima – Cusco
Deluxe: Palacio del Inka or similar accommodations
You will be transferred to the Lima airport to join your flight to Cusco (not included). Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, join a tour of Cusco and nearby ruins. Start with a visit to Koricancha Temple, an ancient Inca palace and main worship site for the Sun God. Continue to the main square where you will take a tour of the cathedral. Stop at the San Cristobal Viewpoint and enjoy a beautiful view of the city. Proceed to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, an awe-inspiring feat of Incan military architecture that reigns over the city. Then, head to the Kenko archaeological site and enjoy a panoramic view of the Puca-Pucara archaeological complex. Finally, stop at the Inka’s Expression art workshop where you will be introduced to artists working with silver, paint, and wood. (B)Optional dinner at the Pre-Columbian Art Museum's MAP Café. Cusco – Sacred Valley

Today, discover the best the Sacred Valley of the Incas has to offer. Visit Moray to see the amazing, semicircular agricultural terraces used as a botanical laboratory and built on top of a hill, overlooking the Urubamba Valley. Continue to the Maras Salt Flats which produce salts used by some of the most renowned chefs in the world. Enjoy a delicious lunch at Casa Hacienda Huayoccari. Then, proceed to Ollantaytambo, one of the most imposing archaeological complexes of the Inca Empire and one of the few places where the Spanish lost an important battle. Very well-known for its terraces that served an agricultural purpose, Ollantaytambo was a fortress that also served as a temple. Finally, wander through the town of Ollantaytambo, the “only living Inca city” and one of the greatest examples of Incan urban planning, with stone streets that have been inhabited since the 13th century. Sacred Valley – Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ollanta train station to begin your scenic journey to Aguas Calientes on the Vistadome train. Upon arrival, you will travel to the Machu Picchu archaeological site on a small bus and start your exploration of the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Enjoy a buffet lunch at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge before returning to Aguas Calientes. Settle in at your hotel and enjoy an afternoon at leisure. Aguas Calientes – Cusco

This morning you will have time to visit Machu Picchu for a second time on your own. In the afternoon, return by train to Ollanta station where you will be met and transferred to your hotel in Cusco. (B) Optional private guide for your second visit to Machu Picchu. Extra supplement applies.

Cusco – Return
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Cusco airport for your return flight home. (B)
