Daily Itinerary:

Day 1:  USA-Rome
Enjoy a relaxing overnight flight to Rome.
 
Day 2: Rome - Arrival
Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel in Rome. Enjoy a free day in the "Eternal City."

Day 3: Rome
Enjoy a free day in Rome or take an optional tour to the Naples, Pompeii and Capri.  Consider a meal in Travestere this evening. (B)

Day 4: Rome - Florence
Board the train to Florence (ticket included). Upon arrival in Florence, make your way to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure and we suggest that you visit the Uffizi Gallery and its treasures. (B)

Day 5: Florence
This morning we suggest you join an optional walking city tour and discover Florence’s unique heritage and breathtaking beauty accompanied by an expert and fun tour guide. During this walk, you can see Piazza della Signoria with the town hall Palazzo Vecchio, the Duomo, the Baptistery with its ‘Gates of Paradise’, Giotto’s independent bell tower, Brunelleschi’s Dome, Santa Trinita and Orsanmichele Church, and the Pontevecchio Bridge. (B)

Day 6: Florence – Cinque Terre – La Spezia - Genoa
Join your tour to Cinque Terre. You will visit the famous villages of Riomaggiore, Manarola, Monterosso and Vernazza. At the end of your visit you will be dropped at La Spezia train station.  You will have a short train ride to Genoa where you will stay the night. (B)

Day 7: Genoa
Explore at your own pace this historical port in the Mediterranean.  Known as the birthplace of Christopher Columbus this city has some hidden treasures including the old port and its aquarium. Here you can enjoy also the excellent seafood cuisine. (B)

Day 8: Genoa - Nice
Continue your trip along the Mediterranean by joining your train to Nice this morning (ticket included).
Upon your arrival in Nice make your own way to your hotel. You will have the afternoon free to enjoy this cosmopolitan city in the French Riviera. (B)

Day 9: Nice
You can take an optional Hop On/ Hop Off tour of Nice and discover the main attractions like Promenade des Agles and Place Garibaldi which are included in the 14 stops around the city. (B)

We recommend that you take an optional morning tour to Monaco. You will have free time to visit the Palace (open June thru Oct), cathedral, and stunning gardens. You will follow the amazing Formula 1 Grand Prix circuit. Stop at Monte-Carlo to see its luxurious casinos, harbor with mega-yachts and shop in the chic boutiques. On the way back, visit the charming medieval village of Eze, carved in the mountain with spectacular views of the sea. Afternoon is at leisure. (B)

Day 11: Nice - Barcelona
Join your flight to Barcelona (domestic ticket included). Upon arrival make your own way to your hotel in Barcelona. Afternoon is at leisure to explore this exciting city. (B)

Day 12: Barcelona
Today, take an optional walking tour of the Gothic Quarter in Barcelona. Spend the day exploring the sites and monuments of this cosmopolitan city. (B)

Day 13: Barcelona
Today is at leisure. We suggest you take an optional tour to Montserrat and visit the Royal Basilica which holds the famous 12th century Black Virgin. Alternatively, you can take a full day tour to Girona and Figueres to visit the Dali Museum. (B)

Day 14: Barcelona-Return
After breakfast make your own way to Barcelona airport for your return flight home. (B)

Policy Information and Terms & Conditions:

Reservations: All travel arrangements and reservations should be made by June 7, 2015. Later bookings must be approved in advance. All departures are guaranteed after written confirmation from Keytours Vacations. Prices are based on double occupancy; if traveling with a companion please provide their voucher number in addition to yours to secure your double occupancy rate. 

Deposit and Final Payment: Your purchase of a Living Social voucher for the Mediterranean Explorer package will act as your final payment for services booked. Any additional services booked including travel insurance, additions to the itinerary, etc. must be paid for using a separate payment form.  The single supplement charge is $800 for the dates October 3, 10, 17. The single supplement charge is $600 for the dates October 31.  The single supplement charge is $500 for the dates November 7, 14, 21, 28.  All reservations are subject to availability. If any outstanding balance is not received within 45 days prior to departure, the land portion of your booking is cancelled automatically. Participants waive any charge-back rights and in the event of dispute, requests for a refund must be made using the procedures described herein.

Cancellations: Notice of cancellation must be made in writing directly to Keytours Vacations. A $150 fee per person will be charged for all cancellations. The cost of all airline tickets and taxes are non-refundable after a booking is confirmed. Additionally, the following scale of charges will apply as a percentage of total service price when notice occurs within 60 days of service start: 60-31 days prior - 20%; 30-14 days prior - 40%; 13-3 days prior - 70%; Later Cancellations and No Shows - 100%.
