1

Arrival – Baltra Island – Santa Cruz Island

First Class: Galapagos Magic or similar accommodations

Welcome to the Galápagos! Today, you’ll arrive to Galápagos Ecologic Airport on Baltra Island, the gateway to the Galápagos. Once a military base during World War II, Baltra is now home to the archipelago’s principal airport, renowned for being the world’s first ecological airport. Built with advanced environmental techniques to minimize emissions and energy use, its sustainable design is evident as you walk through the facility. After landing, you’ll cross the Itabaca Channel and journey to the highlands of Santa Cruz, where you’ll visit a private reserve bordering the National Park. Here, you’ll have the incredible opportunity to observe the iconic Giant Tortoises roaming freely in their natural habitat. (L,D)

Navigable Tour to Neighbor Islands

Embark on our motor yacht for a daily excursion with a welcome crew and knowledgeable naturalist guide, experiencing the remote Galápagos Islands in comfort and style. Our carefully curated excursions will allow you to explore islands such as North Seymour, South Plazas, Santa Fe, or Bartolomé, all while ensuring a safe and comfortable journey. As we navigate the Pacific, keep an eye out for leaping rays and other marine life, enjoying the untouched beauty of the islands and their incredible wildlife. Santa Cruz Island

First Class: Ikala Galapagos Hotel or similar accommodations

Today, you have several activity options to choose from, whether you prefer organized tours or self-guided adventures. If you wish to relax, enjoy the peaceful surroundings of our Giant Tortoise Sanctuary or explore the nearby Lava Tunnels. For a more active experience, consider optional tours such as a walk to Las Grietas with kayaking at Tortuga Bay, a hike to Cerro Mesa with kayaking at Garrapatero, or a visit to an organic coffee farm and sugar cane mill. Alternatively, embark on a navigable tour to neighboring islands, where you can explore the Galápagos' diverse wildlife and pristine landscapes. Santa Cruz Island – Isabela Island

First Class: Isamar Hotel or similar accommodations

Today, you’ll take an early morning speedboat to Isabela Island and check into your hotel before starting your adventure. Your first excursion is to the Tintoreras, a group of small islands near Puerto Villamil. Named after the white-tipped reef sharks that glide through these calm waters, Tintoreras is a microcosm of the Galápagos' incredible wildlife. Here, you’ll encounter white-tipped reef sharks, sea lions, turtles, rays, penguins, pelicans, and blue-footed boobies. After exploring the island on foot, you'll snorkel in the bay, where you might find playful penguins or sea lions joining you in the water! (B,L)

Hiking Sierra Negra

First Class: Isamar Hotel or similar accommodations

Experience the volcanic origins of the Galápagos as you hike Isabela, one of its youngest and most active islands. You’ll start by trekking to the massive Sierra Negra crater, the world’s second-largest, where morning fog and drizzle often add a mysterious touch. Along the way, keep an eye out for Galápagos Hawks and Short-Eared Owls. From the crater’s rim, enjoy expansive views before continuing to the alien-like landscape of Volcán Chico, with its lava tubes and fumaroles. After a scenic lunch under a “jaboncillo” tree, you’ll descend, completing your 16-kilometer (9.94-mile) hike, and relax on the beaches of Puerto Villamil. (B,L)

Isabela Island- Santa Cruz Island- Baltra Island - Departure

Say farewell to the Galápagos as you check out of your hotel and take an early speedboat back to Santa Cruz, followed by a land transfer to the airport in Baltra where you will check-in for your onward flight. (B)
