Day

1

Arrival in Santiago

Whether Santiago is your first stop in South America, or you're simply passing through, enjoy your private transfer from the airport to your city hotel. Either relax and rest up at your hotel, or enjoy a half day tour of the city to get your surroundings. Your evening is at leisure to enjoy the local fare for dinner.

Day

2

Colchagua Valley

Enjoy a full day trip to the Colchagua Valley and it's wineries. When it comes to terroir — the soil, topography, climate and overall environment in which a wine is produced — the Colchagua Valley has it all. The valley, about 80 miles south of Santiago, has a generally warm climate cooled by ocean breezes; it’s dry but has just the right amount of rainfall and enough rivers to provide moisture. Colchagua is a relatively new wine growing region in Chile, but produces a number of prominent red wines, primarily Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenere and Syrah. Prestigious wineries in the valley include Casa Lapostolle, Montes and Vina Casa Silva.

Day

3

Maipo Valley

After breakfast, depart for a full day in the Maipo Valley, visiting one of the most famous Vineyards in the world. Santa Rita Vineyard. Founded in 1880, Santa Rita was one of the first vineyards to have french grape varieties growing on it's land. This brought new techniques, previously unheard of in Chile, altering the way in which wines were produced.

Day

4

Alto Maipo and Cousino Macul

Cousino-Macul is the only 19th century winery in Chile that remains in the hands of it's founding family. Situated in the area known as Alto Maipo, any trip to Santiago should include a visit to the world famous Cousino-Macul. The water from the Andes mountains, coupled with the soil in this region are particularly well suited for the production of high quality grapes, and wine. Back to Santiago for your last night, enjoy dinner before your departure tomorrow.

Day

5

Valparaiso and Vina del Mar

On your last day in Santiago, experience the vibrant spirit of Chile's Pacific coast with a visit to the colorful sister cities of Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. Begin your journey in Valparaíso, a UNESCO World Heritage site where rainbow-hued houses cascade down steep hillsides. Ride the historic funiculars up winding streets adorned with stunning street art and discover charming cafés tucked away in century-old buildings. Continue north to sophisticated Viña del Mar, known as the "Garden City" for its manicured gardens and palm-lined boulevards. Stroll along the pristine beaches, visit the iconic flower clock, and enjoy fresh seafood at oceanfront restaurants. Between the bohemian charm of Valparaíso's labyrinthine alleys and Viña del Mar's elegant coastal atmosphere, this day trip offers a perfect contrast to Santiago's urban energy. Return to Santiago Airport for your onward flight
