Welcome to Sitka! Upon arrival at the Sitka Rocky Gutierrez Airport, please take a taxi (own arrangements) approximately 10-minutes into downtown Sitka or upon arrival at the cruise ship dock, please take a taxi (own arrangements), the short distance to your hotel.

Sitka is an island community surrounded by rainforests and shared with wildlife, it is situated between the mountains and the sea, where the arts and ancient native culture still flourish and thrive. It is where wilderness and culture collide. Sitka was part of Russia until 1867 and has a rich Russian heritage that can be experienced by visiting St. Michael's Orthodox Cathedral or the Russian Bishop's House. Other highlights include the Alaska Raptor Center and the Sheldon Jackson Museum. Today you will enjoy your choice of a Sitka activity or tour.

Sitka - Departure

After breakfast, you will check out of your hotel and take a taxi (own arrangements) for the up to 10-minute ride to one of Sitka's two cruise ship docks to embark on your cruise or take a taxi (own arrangements) to the Sitka Airport where you will check-in for your onward flight.
